User’s WBS Summary Activities are not calculating remaining units and percent complete correctly.

WBS Summary Activity

The WBS summary activity type combines the summary capabilities of the WBS structure with task-level attributes such as relationships, resource assignments, and notebooks. This activity type is used to roll up date, duration, and percent complete values for a group of activities that share a WBS code.

Rollup values for a WBS summary activity are calculated when the project is scheduled. Start dates for a WBS summary activity are set to the earliest start date of all activities in the group; finish dates are set to the latest finish date of all activities in the group. Duration is calculated based on the earliest activity start and latest activity finish in the group.

The WBS code of a WBS summary activity determines which activities comprise the group. For example, a WBS summary activity assigned to WBS code A, would roll up values for all activities under any subordinate WBS that relates to code A, that is, : A.1, A.1.1, A.2, A.2.1, and so on. If the WBS summary activity in this case were assigned to WBS code A.1, it would rollup values for activities under WBS A.1 and A.1.1, but not for those activities under A.2 or A.2.1.
To set up a WBS summary activity
Create a new activity and set the type to WBS summary.
Assign the new activity to the WBS code that represents the level you want to use to determine which activities belong to the group.
Additional guidelines
-WBS summary activities can have driving and non-driving resource assignments, activity code assignments, expenses, steps, and work products and documents.
-All duration types are supported.
-Constraints or expected finish dates cannot be applied to a WBS summary activity.
-Relationships to or from WBS activities are ignored when scheduling.-Actual duration cannot be modified.
